SMS Messaging Policy
Star Electric Company of Texas (“Company”) sends text messages to employees at the phone number provided during the hiring process. These messages are limited to business-related communications, including but not limited to company announcements, safety notifications, work assignments, schedule updates, and operational alerts.
Consent
Consent to receive text messages is obtained at the time of hire through the Company’s employment application. By providing a phone number and acknowledging the consent, the employee agrees to receive business-related text messages from the Company.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on business needs. Messages are sent only when necessary for company operations and employee safety.
Opt-Out
Employees may reply STOP to cease receiving text messages at any time. However, text messaging is the Company’s primary method of communicating assignments, schedule changes, and safety alerts. Employees who opt out are solely responsible for obtaining this information through alternative means. Failure to report for an assignment or comply with a safety directive, regardless of the reason the communication was missed, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Privacy
Phone numbers provided by employees are used solely for internal business communications. The Company does not sell, share, or distribute employee phone numbers to third parties for marketing or any other purpose. If employee is issued a company owned device, Star Electric will update records and utilize the number owned by Star Electric.
